(I have changed to subject line and edited the text of this first post so as to be more concise)
OK, a 2005 2.0Ltr HDI motor with 114K on the clock.
I have come across some real horror stories about faulty injectors that cannot be removed from the head because of corrosion (or summat) resulting in the motor being pretty much a write off.
From what I have just been reading, this seems a not uncommon issue on this motor and now this has me somewhat scared of buying one. (and I was going to look at this car tomorrow).
Can anyone give me any further info on this issue please?

I'm getting pretty flummoxed with all the things I have to consider.
I'm also aware that I have been "banging on", a lot, asking al kinds of questions about what version might be best to buy, that my posts might be getting considered excessive re this = sorry![Blush Blush]()
I just don't want to make an expensive mistake that I won't be able to afford.
