Rear window heater repair

Hi all, anyone used a rear window heater matrix repair kit at all? The middle works fine about 5 lines deep but during early morning starts it's a bit of a pain not having a full view out of the rear. Seen Halford's one that sell and the reviews aren't that good so thought I'd ask.
