Having a strange problem.
2006, 1.4 petrol.
The other week went out in the morning and the engine would crank but not start. So I looked for spark, not easy with a coil pack, and no spark.
Spoke to mechanic friend, he said more likely fuel issue, and said the no spark can occur if computer doesn't see some parameters.
So I checked the 40 amp fuse in the engine fuse box( fuel pump), it looked fine.
But when put back it , it started fine.
All well for a week or so, then same thing, morning start, crank and not firing up. So I pulled out the fuse for the fuel pump, looked fine, returned it.
Started and ran.
Any ideas?
