Hello all,
I'm aware that if I blank off my EGR on my 1.6HDI without reprogramming the ECU I'll throw up an error code.
I'm thinking of getting my engine remapped soon. Is it possible to run the van with the EGR mechanically in place, but mapped out until I get round to fitting a blanking plate?
Just thinking it might be worth getting all the ECU work done at once, so that it's ready for when I get round to blanking off the EGR in say 6 months time. Or will I cause some sort of damage?
Completely accept that until I've done the work I obviously won't see any benefit. Just saves me getting the ECU programmed twice.
