Berlingo 2006, 1.4 petrol.
I have been reading on the forum about the BSI reset and was hoping this may cure my erratic fuel gauge. I have done the BSI reset and unfortunately this hasn't resolved the fuel gauge but I am now getting the yellow engine light on. I have tried doing another BSI reset but still have the yellow engine light on.....it wasn't on before I did any BSI resets.
Any ideas how to reset the light or how to find out what the light is on for?
Thanks.
For the BSI reset I have tried both the following:
1)
Ignition always off and key out. Window down, bonnet up, lock doors and wait 3 minutes. Disconnect battery and wait 3 minutes. Reconnect and wait 3 minutes.
Lean in window and turn on ignition to second position, no start yet. Lean over and put sidelights on. Then, press and hold lock button on remote while ignition is still on, for 10 secs. Switch ignition off and pull the key, unlock the door with the remote, open the door then start the engine. Check locking and unlocking works from the remote.
2)
Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.

Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.).
Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
Remove key open & close door test central locking system.
Start the engine and complete the system's check.
