Brake lights not working (but high level one is)
Hey as the title suggests I have an issue where the brake lights are not working but the high level one is.
As far I can tell from the Peugeot Partner Haynes that I have access to, the circuit goes via the interior fusebox (I checked all of the fuses under the steering wheel and they were fine, are there any others inside, perhaps behind the glove box?), then via the brake switch, direct to the brake lights. The high level one isn't included on the diagram I have, but that's coming on during braking, so I can only assume the brake switch itself isn't faulty.
I've checked the bulbs are ok and I'm going to try shorting the brake switch/jamming something against the brake pedal after my lunch to see if there is voltage getting to the correct bulb. Anyone got some ideas? I've done a search and others have posted with similar issues but none have solutions posted. I'll update if I find out what the problem is. Thanks

Wiring loom question
Now I had an issue with my car going into limp home mode and not starting. I looked at the wiring loom and found multiple chaffed wires where it enters the protective sleeve. I have patched it up, but it lasts a week or so and then we are back to square one.
Now my question for you lovely, helpful people is....
What is the best course of action? Do I splice and rejoin the wires or do I try and get a new loom, and if that is the best solution, what moolah am I looking at (assuming you can fit it yourself).
I know I am new here and have had a couple of cries for help, but I promise I am not a pain in the arse
Now don't get me started on the steering issues. I have a £200 Citroen C5 and a 1973 Citroen DS which are both less trouble that Betty Blue the Berlingo.
Thank you ladies and gents.

Airbag light question by complete novice
Afternoon. I have the airbag light issue, which seems fairly common. It comes on with a beep then another beep seconds later. The issue 'fixed' itself for a week or so, then came back
Could someone please steer in in the right direction with the easiest options to try first. Consider me technically-challenged when answering, and please outline the steps I need to take in each possible solution. Don't assume knowledge on my part when it coma to naming components
Many thanks
Marco

Smell of fumes
Hey everyone I'm new to the forum so be kind. I have recently purchased a 2008 van with 109k miles. I have got the orange engine warning light on the dash and I get a smell of fumes in the cabin especially when I reverse. Do you think these two things are related? Any idea what might be the problem? Thanks

Quick suspension question..
Hello all...
I recon the internet has had a clearout because I can't find much information on what the suspension differences are between the 600 and 800 berlingo van.. Are they interchangeable ? is the difference the rear axel or more than that ? If I put 800 shocks on my 600 what would the difference be ?
What do you know ??
Thanks in advance..

2.0hdi starting problems
Tried to start my car last night, it started but cut our when revved up. Left it ticking over a while then was ok on drive home. Same thing this morning starts but won't rev up just cuts out. It's been mentioned that it could be the low pressure pump in the tank. Has anyone had any similar problems. Cheers

Removal
I have a dead 1.6 petrol engine in 'Kenny' my pet Berlingo.
I also have a 'known to be good' 1.6 Petrol engine sat in my garage.
I have however been told that the whole engine/box drivetrain has to come out through the bottom of the bay, which ia A) Too much hassle and B) Not viable in the space I have.
Is it really not possible to take out just the engine in the 'traditional' method?
Please say it is as it's going to be the difference between a nice retirement as a Holiday home car in France or a quick call to the scrappies.
Kenny's life depends on YOU!
